Introduce£º Founded in 1958, Changsha Exploration Machinery Factory (Abbr. as Changtan Machinery or Changtan), is subordinate to Hunan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development, and a member of China Geo-Equipment Corporation (CGE). It develops and sells machinery and equipment of geological prospecting mainly, as well as assumes the function of external marketing and internal service.

Located in Changsha National Economical & Technological Development Zone, Changsha, Hunan, the production area covers an area of nearly 6,700 square meters, including the workshop floor area of 18,000 square meters, with various kinds of processing equipments more than 300. And the living area is located in No. 347, Shuguang Road of downtown Changsha, where our sales department is established for the convenience of customers. There are 562 employees, including 97various engineering and technical personnel in which there are 2 professors-class senior engineers, and 25 senior, 51 middle, 19 junior titles personnel.
Our capacity of manufacturing various kinds of geological prospecting equipments is 1,000 sets, and the main products include: QWK-18A, QWK-30-1 series; WTY-30, QWY-30 series portable geophysical drilling rig; GY-50-1, GY-100, GY-150, GY-200-1 series investigation drilling rig; GY-300A, GY-600, XY-44A series core drilling rig; GX-50 high-speed small-bore drilling rig; ZDJ series vibrating drill; BW-70, BW120QF, BW160QF, BWQ-160, BW160, BW280 series mud pump; various kinds of geological pipes and drilling tools etc. The products have won the Science and Technology Achievement Award presented by the former Geology and Mineral Resources Ministry, the Outstanding New Products Award presented by the State Economic and Trade Commission and the Science and Technology Award presented by Hunan province and so on. The products are mainly used in geological prospecting, oil prospecting, exploration of railway and highway engineering, hydraulic and electrical exploration, construction of small civil well, groundwork treatment and so on. The products are sold all over the country and exported to Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and other countries.
Since 1987, our factory win the title of Advanced Unit of Civilization-Construction presented by Changsha city every year, and has won the title of Civilized Unit presented by the Hunan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development, and China Geo-Equipment Group for many times.
Our factory has a R&D team guided by the Special Government Allowance Experts and professors-class senior engineers, with strong technical force, advanced processing equipment. It is devoted to the development and production of prospecting machinery for decades, has substantial experience. In particular, after kicking off the new plant, it has obviously shortened the development cycle of new product, can develop and manufacture special equipment according to user¡¯s requirements due to introducing CAD, CAM-aided design software. For example, PT-50 above-water-platform drilling rig which is developed for the geophysical prospecting project in Nile water area carried out by the Second Department of Geological Survey, Petroleum Geophysical Prospecting Bureau, has made this department achieve good economic return in the project of international tender. Another example, C-20 series impact drilling rig which is developed for the Northwest Institute for Design and Development of the Ministry of Railway, has played an important role for solving settlement of foundation and rectification of building.
In addition, our factory takes the lead in the introduction of ERP enterprise information management system in the same industry, practices in-house computer-aided management, which has resulted in improved quality, reduced cost and shortened production cycle, as well as providing users with the product with outstanding performance and reliable quality.
